Social Strategist

WE ARE Pi is looking for a Social Strategist to join our team and work closely with the Head of Strategy and creative teams to optimise ideas that drive results. The ideal candidate would develop strategies that drive results on digital and social platforms based on the creation, careful management and measurement of KPI’s. Having a can-do attitude, imaginative thinking and interests beyond advertising is always a plus. An interest in using break-through creativity to make positive change is a key value at our agency.


  • Create strategic and business strategy recommendations across a suite of clients to help drive success for clients’ social and digital channels.

  • Develop roadmaps for existing campaigns, identifying opportunities for campaigns that are not already considered “digital/social” and work to bridge digital/social elements with other creative campaign elements.

  • Work with clients to uncover their needs of their customers in the digital and technology space and create (even if the clients don’t know their needs).

  • Help to build the agency’s overall social thought leadership by staying informed on digital best practices and emerging trends in the industry.

  • Be willing to work with internal and external clients at all levels on a variety of categories and projects.

  • Contribute to thought leadership on digital and social aspects of new business pitches.

  • Keep a sharp eye out for new opportunities on existing clients and spot opportunities within the changing social and digital landscape.

  • Basis understanding of brand strategies and the ability to collect information and draw insights around cultural, competitive and channel insights.

About you

  • 3 years + experience in social or digital strategy especially in an ad agency environment.

  • Expert knowledge in social media platforms and all the changing trends associated.

  • Examples of successful results from strategic initiatives in former projects and examples of leadership in the area of digital and social.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to talk about ideas and educate others on complex themes and ideas.

  • The flexibility to work over a variety of projects while balancing the workload.

  • Able to develop creative briefs that inspire the team while also connecting with broader strategic initiatives.

  • Interest and know-how in analytics and social listening tools.

  • Basic knowledge in SEO digital advertising, native advertising and social PR.
